Alchemized: Survived that, Built This! The Rise, the Rebirth, and the Reckoning
By Angela Morris
"There’s a version of you on the other side of this pain that will blow your own damn mind. Stay alive long enough to meet her."
This Is the Aftermath—and It’s Beautiful.
When I wrote From Wounds to Wisdom, I was still raw. I was still leaking pain, navigating shame, and rebuilding my bones after years of breaking myself for people who wouldn’t even bend for me.
That story came from the trenches. This one? This comes from the throne I built with the bricks life threw at me. This is the woman I became.
Pain Was My Portal.
I used to be scared of pain. Now I understand it’s a teacher with brutal methods but divine lessons.
The truth is, I didn’t just survive divorce. I didn’t just make it out of addiction, betrayal, abuse, and sexual exploitation—I alchemized every ounce of it into purpose. I chose to become the woman I was always meant to be.
"The old me didn’t die; she evolved. And that’s the kind of funeral worth celebrating."
The Healing Wasn’t Cute—But It Was Holy.
Healing didn’t look like yoga mats and bubble baths. It looked like crying so hard I choked on my own breath.
Like saying goodbye to people I once begged to stay.
Like standing in the mirror and whispering, “I forgive you,” to a version of me I used to hate.
I stopped running from my past and started running toward my purpose. I quit trying to numb the pain and started listening to it. And in that sacred space, I found her—the woman I was always hiding beneath the survival mask.
And just when I thought the storm had passed, life sent more.
I lost my mother to dementia, mourned the kind of goodbye I never truly got. Business dreams that once felt rock solid crumbled right in front of me.
And menopause? Let’s just say no one prepares you for the emotional rollercoaster that hits harder than puberty ever did.
But through it all, I grew something unshakable: emotional intelligence.
I stopped reacting and started responding. I mastered my triggers instead of letting them master me.
I realized that peace isn’t the absence of chaos—it’s the presence of self-mastery in the middle of it.
"Healing doesn’t make you prettier. It makes you powerful. It gives you your voice back—and trust me, mine came back with a vengeance."
This Is What Rebirth Feels Like
Today, I don’t hustle for worth. I embody it.
I don’t shrink myself to be digestible. I serve my truth raw.
I don’t chase love. I become love.
I am sober. Whole. Awake. Married—but only because I reclaimed myself first.
I’ve stopped outsourcing my power. I’ve stopped apologizing for needing more.
And I’ve stopped making room for people who don’t have the capacity to handle my light.
"The version of me I lost in that marriage? I buried her with grace. The woman who rose from the ashes? She’s my legacy."
Dear Reader, Let This Be Your Permission Slip
To shed. To scream. To sob. To rise.
To stop waiting for permission to heal.
To break up with who you were taught to be and come home to who you are.
You’re not “too much.” You’re finally becoming enough for yourself.
"You don’t owe anyone the polished version of your pain. Share the messy middle. That’s where the miracles happen."
Final Words From a Woman Who Made It Out
I am not a coach because I read books—I’m a coach because I lived the chapters no one wants to talk about.
I am not healed because life is easy—I’m healed because I finally chose me.
And you can, too.
Your pain is not your prison. It’s your platform.
"Divorce didn’t break me. It built the damn blueprint."
"Don’t just heal. Embody her. She’s already inside you, waiting to be remembered."
